(JAN 10 2021) – The latest update from the program manager at Wellwood regarding the intake of knitted or crocheted squares is that they are still in a holding pattern, particularly since going into “Lockdown”. They are all really grateful to you for the time and resources you devote to the squares program. They are hopeful that they will be able to move forward as the current situation changes. (UPDATED JULY 30, 2020) – Due to the current situation with COVID-19 we are unable to accept squares at the present time.  If you choose to continue making squares, please hold on to them for now. We are not accepting them at this time and our volunteers are not meeting to assemble the squares into afghans. Although it feels as though things are starting to open up around us, safety protocols are in place everywhere and the afghan program itself could take longer to return to the hospital because of infection control.
